Join without qualifications
There are many excellent career options in the ADF that generally don&rsquo;t require experience or qualifications. You&rsquo;ll receive all the training you need and be paid while you train.

As a Special Forces Operator, you’ll be screened, selected, trained and equipped to conduct Special Operations. You’ll carry out military activities conducted by specially designated, organised, trained and equipped forces, integrate into combined ADF missions, plus work closely with allies, partners and other government agencies.

Special Forces Operators don’t shy away from an increasingly complex and contested strategic environment. You’ll be primed and ready to operate in highly technical battlespaces, respond to non-traditional adversaries, and keep pace with rapidly evolving threats.
Responsibilities extend across a broad spectrum of operations, including participation in short notice operations both in Australia and overseas. Special Operations are generally expeditionary in nature and can involve special reconnaissance missions, offensive targeting and/or working with foreign partners.
Special Forces Operators must be capable of operating in environments characterised by high complexity, isolation from friendly forces, high levels of stress, danger and environmental hardship.
