You will be paid while you study. On completion of your degree, Initial Military Training and Initial Employment Training, you'll earn at least:

In the Air Force you'll get paid a good salary from day one regardless of your age, experience or qualifications; and your pay increases as you progress through training. In addition to your salary you'll receive a variety of allowances, extra pay for relevant qualifications – plus 16.4% superannuation, a far higher rate than you're likely to find in the civilian world.

Depending on where you are posted, you may also complete additional training courses in targeting, advanced electronic warfare and weapons employment, space intelligence, and cyber intelligence.
All Air Intelligence Officers will also complete intermediate and advanced intelligence training courses later in their career.

As an Air Intelligence Officer, you could be employed on the following duties: 
<ul>
<li>As an Air Intelligence Officer at an operational squadron preparing and presenting intelligence briefs, conducting debriefs, and providing advice to squadron members and commanders</li>
<li>Managing imagery processing and analysis facilities</li>
<li>Analysing and preparing assessments of air-related activities affecting Australia's interests</li>

<li>Interpreting the significance of intelligence data/reports to the conduct of selected RAAF air operations </li>
<li>Assisting in the maintenance and monitoring of high standards of security throughout the Air Force </li>
</ul>
You may also be employed in various non-specific intelligence areas such as training and instructing.

If you enter the Air Force as an Active Reserve Air Intelligence Officer, you can expect to undertake similar duties to your full-time colleagues.

Work in a highly classified environment, acquiring and interpreting intelligence and preparing briefs in support of ADF operations and international security initiatives.
