Become an officer with your existing degree
If you have a recognised degree in a field such as Medicine, Law, Dentistry, Nursing, Engineering, Business or IT, you can apply for an officer role through Graduate Entry. Whether you're a recent graduate or in a career, you&rsquo;ll receive further training and postgraduate study opportunities in the ADF.
Who it&rsquo;s for:&nbsp;Those who already have a recognised degree and want to receive further training and postgraduate study opportunities. You&rsquo;ll pursue your profession as an officer and add an exciting new dimension to your work.

You'll be paid while you train, and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Employment Training, you’ll earn at least:

Trained

Your salary once trained

In the Army you'll be paid a good salary from day one regardless of your age, experience or qualifications.

Officer Entry: Graduate

You’ll have opportunities to further your professional qualifications with the assistance of Army sponsorship schemes.

As an Army Education Officer, you’ll work on professional development programs and provide advice and resources. Your work will ensure the Army’s learning, education and training (LET) systems, processes and outcomes meet the current and future needs of its workforce.

You’ll work in a range of Defence training organisations in roles that offer variety, challenges and travel that you won’t find in a regular education environment. 

In this in-demand role, you’ll contribute to the learning outcomes of Defence members and gain experience and skills that will equip you for advancement in the Army. 

For example, you could find yourself supporting instructors and learners in one of the dynamic Defence training establishments across Australia or developing education and learning systems policies in Canberra.
