Join without qualifications
There are many excellent career options in the ADF that generally don&rsquo;t require experience or qualifications. You&rsquo;ll receive all the training you need and be paid while you train.
Who it&rsquo;s for:&nbsp;Those seeking general roles and career opportunities.

You'll be paid while you train, and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Employment Training, you’ll earn at least:

In the Army you'll be paid a good salary from day one regardless of your age, experience or qualifications.

General Entry: Non-technical

As you develop throughout your career, you may complete the following courses:

<li>Communications Planning Application Course</li>
<li>Command Post Supervisor Course</li>
<li>Manager Aviation Squadron Operations Course.</li>
</ul>

As Mission Support Groundcrew, you’ll work as part of the team responsible for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and electronic warfare protection in support of helicopter operations. 

You play a key role in every facet of the mission including mission planning, uploading critical mission information direct to the aircraft, battle and safety tracking during flight and downloading sensors and mission data on completion of each mission.

You’ll learn the skills required to prepare, deploy and operate in a number of command post roles:
<ul>
<li>Aviation Task Group</li>
<li>Aviation Tactical Operations Cell (TOC)</li>
<li>forward arming and refuelling points</li>
<li>humanitarian aid and or disaster relief mission</li>
<li>short-notice single command post deployment.</li>
</ul>
Army Aviation currently operate 4 types of helicopters – the CH-47F Chinook, ARH Tiger, UH-60M Blackhawk Utility and AW139 Commercial Helicopter. In future, AH-64E Apache will be introduced into Army Aviation.

Provide communications and operations support to Army helicopters in an action-packed role that’s crucial to the success of Army Aviation missions.
