Eligibility Checklist

Join without qualifications
There are many excellent career options in the ADF that generally don&rsquo;t require experience or qualifications. You&rsquo;ll receive all the training you need and be paid while you train.
Who it&rsquo;s for:&nbsp;Those seeking general roles and career opportunities.

This entry method is currently not recruiting.

You'll be paid while you train, and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Employment Training, you’ll earn at least:

Trained

Your salary once trained

In the Army you'll be paid a good salary from day one regardless of your age, experience or qualifications.

General Entry: Non-technical

You’ll have the opportunity to build specialised skills with additional training opportunities available where you can develop your passion for photography, videography, or 3D modelling. Additional training and courses could be offered both internal or external to Defence.

As a Multimedia Technician, you’ll use your technical skills to capture, design and deliver a wide variety of communications materials as the Army’s media expert in diverse and unique environments.

In this creative role, you can be sure that no 2 days are ever the same.
You’ll use creative design software to develop engaging and informative graphics, animations, 3D imagery, videos and other visual products to support educational, strategic and operational activities for the ADF. 
You’ll have the opportunity to connect with people from allied nations, Indigenous cultures, and communicate across cultural barriers through a variety of programs.

Join a specialised creative team and become a multimedia expert using a wide range of professional design and production software and audio-visual technology.
