Receive nationally recognised trade training
Join the ADF and learn a trade. You&rsquo;ll receive all the training you need, be paid while you train and can earn industry-recognised qualifications. 
Who it&rsquo;s for:&nbsp;Those seeking nationally recognised trade training to undertake hands-on tasks.

You'll be paid while you train, and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Employment Training, you’ll earn at least:

As a Navy Helicopter Airframe Technician, you&rsquo;ll enjoy the satisfaction of keeping advanced military helicopters in peak working order.

You&rsquo;ll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing and repairing military helicopter systems, equipment and components, making sure they continue to operate safely and efficiently onboard ships and ashore. You'll initially work with Seahawk Romeo helicopters and may also work with unmanned aerial vehicles.

Maintain, trouble-shoot and repair state-of-the-art helicopters or uncrewed aerial vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently onboard ships and ashore.
