Join without qualifications
There are many excellent career options in the ADF that generally don&rsquo;t require experience or qualifications. You&rsquo;ll receive all the training you need and be paid while you train.
Who it&rsquo;s for:&nbsp;Those seeking general roles and career opportunities.

You'll be paid while you train, and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Employment Training, you’ll earn at least:

Your starting salary

Trained

Your salary once trained

In the Navy you'll be paid a good salary from day one regardless of your age, experience or qualifications.

General Entry: Non-technical

You may be selected to undertake advanced training courses later in your career. These courses can include management courses and category specialisation courses for promotion.

As a Personnel Administration Specialist, you’ll take care of the administration, records, welfare and human resource needs of the Navy’s members both onboard ships and ashore.

Your day-to-day responsibilities could include managing crew administration and human resource functions, supporting the financial management of the ship, providing advice to the crew, handling correspondence, updating official records, or providing executive support to Navy’s senior leaders.

Provide specialist administrative support, advice and personnel management services for Navy members at sea and ashore.
