All Sailors will serve in fleet units and shore establishments on a rotational basis.

You will be paid while you study. On completion of your degree, Initial Military Training and Initial Employment Training, you'll earn at least:

In the Navy you'll get paid a good salary from day one regardless of your age, experience or qualifications; and your pay increases as you progress through training. In addition to your salary you'll receive a variety of allowances, extra pay for relevant qualifications – plus 16.4% superannuation, a far higher rate than you're likely to find in the civilian world.

If you have a relevant qualification and industry experience, you&rsquo;ll be paid a competitive salary from day one to apply your skills and expertise in unique environments, working at Navy gymnasiums and onboard ships. 
As a Physical Training Instructor in the Navy, you&rsquo;ll work in a team to plan, prepare and provide physical training programs at your location. Through this role you will also provide personnel with mental, physical, and emotional outlets through physical training.&nbsp; 
Your duties include, but aren&rsquo;t limited to:
<ul>
 <li>The planning and delivery of strength and conditioning physical training instructional sessions</li>
 <li>The planning and delivery of specialised physical training and defensive tactics instructional sessions</li>
 <li>The development and delivery of rehabilitation programs in conjunction with local allied health professionals</li>
 <li>The planning, delivery and reporting on the Navy Physical Fitness Test and Physical Conditioning Program</li>
 <li>The planning and delivery of outdoor leadership activities</li>
 <li>The planning, officiating and delivery of sporting competitions</li>
 <li>As a sailor, you&rsquo;ll learn additional skills and duties to become highly trained and efficient in supporting the whole ship. This may include ship security, firefighting team, flood repair, flight deck duties, replenishment at sea, ceremonial duties, ammunitioning, first aid or line handling, ships morale and entertainment events</li>
