Use your specialisation and become a leader in your field
If you&rsquo;re already qualified in healthcare, finance, law, chaplaincy, management, aviation, engineering or education, you can join the ADF part-time as a Specialist Reserve.
Who it&rsquo;s for:&nbsp;Those who are a specialist in specific fields.

You'll be paid to train and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Initial Employment Training, you’ll earn a tax-free daily rate of at least:

Your daily rate once trained

The pay you receive in the Air Force Reserve goes straight into your pocket with no deductions for tax.

Officer Entry: Specialist Reserve

As a member of the Air Force Specialist Reserve, you&rsquo;ll find a fulfilling new outlet for your psychology expertise. You&rsquo;ll provide a broad range of services to complement and supplement those maintained in the permanent Air Force.

You&rsquo;ll apply your specialist knowledge to support ADF members to maintain their effectiveness with a focus on organisational psychology.
Depending on your area of expertise, you'll perform important tasks that range from organisational psychology and recruitment assessments to work that is specific to aviation or clinical psychology. You may also get involved in personnel training across a variety of disciplines, post operation screening and clinical support.
