Receive nationally recognised trade training
Join the ADF and use your existing trade skills in a unique military environment.
Who it&rsquo;s for:&nbsp;Those with a nationally recognised trade seeking to undertake hands-on tasks.

You'll be paid to train and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Initial Employment Training, you’ll earn a tax-free daily rate of at least:

The pay you receive in the Army Reserve goes straight into your pocket with no deductions for tax.

General Entry: Technical Reserve

Further trade and equipment courses are available in this role once you complete initial employment training.

As a part-time Electronic Systems Technician in the Army Reserve, you&rsquo;ll play a crucial role in repairing and maintaining a range of electronics equipment that helps protect Australia. You&rsquo;ll get to apply your trade skills in unique environments, changing up your everyday job with the challenges of military duties and the chance to help the community.
If you&rsquo;re looking to experience adventure and excitement outside the everyday, earn tax-free pay and work as part of a close-knit team, this is an exciting opportunity that can work around your lifestyle.

Working with a team of highly trained technicians, you&rsquo;ll have opportunities to maintain state-of-the-art electronic control systems, such as those used in the Abrams Tank and Australian Light Armoured Vehicle (ASLAV). You could also work on advanced missile systems, bio-medical equipment, remote weapon systems, electronic surveillance devices and RADAR systems, among other Army equipment. When you meet with your unit, you&rsquo;ll refine your technician skills, plan upcoming exercises and keep up your soldiering training.
