If you want to work with unique military equipment while experiencing adventure, the Army Reserve has an exciting opportunity for you.

As a part-time Electronic Systems Technician in the Army Reserve, you’ll play a crucial role in repairing and maintaining a range of electronics equipment that helps protect Australia. You’ll get to apply your trade skills in unique environments, changing up your everyday job with the challenges of military duties and the chance to help the community.

Some of the tasks you’ll be responsible for include:
<ul>
<li>diagnosing, maintaining and repairing the Army's high-tech electronics and surveillance equipment</li>
<li>working with specialist teams on advanced weapons systems or vehicle electronics</li>
<li>ensuring the Army's optical and sighting systems remain in perfect working order</li>
<li>perform safety inspections on specialist electronic, optical, communication and sighting equipment</li>
<li>general soldiering duties, such as patrolling, traffic control, and navigation</li>
</ul>

On Reserve parade nights, you can expect to refine your technician skills, plan ahead for exercises and keep up your soldiering training.

In larger exercises, you’ll have the opportunity to work with Abrams Tanks and ASLAV control systems maintenance and even anti-aircraft and anti-tank weapon maintenance through completing specialist courses.

This is a great opportunity to develop leadership skills to take back to your current full-time career. As well as working within a close-knit team, you’ll be able to earn tax-free pay all without having to compromise your lifestyle in this flexible part-time role.

Just give as little as one night a week, one weekend a month or a few weeks a year – and you’ll get a world of new experiences back.
