Use your specialisation and become a leader in your field
If you&rsquo;re already qualified in healthcare, finance, law, chaplaincy, management, aviation, engineering or education, you can join the ADF part-time as a Specialist Reserve.
Who it&rsquo;s for:&nbsp;Those who are a specialist in specific fields.

You'll be paid to train and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Initial Employment Training, you’ll earn a tax-free daily rate of at least:

The pay you receive in the Army Reserve goes straight into your pocket with no deductions for tax.

As a Public Health Physician in the Army Reserve, you&rsquo;ll have the opportunity to use your existing qualifications and skills in an exciting new way. If you&rsquo;re looking to experience adventure and excitement outside the everyday, earn tax-free pay and work as part of a close-knit team, this part-time, flexible position offers an exciting opportunity that fits around your lifestyle.

You&rsquo;ll advise on disease prevention and illness, as well as promote the health needs of ADF members and their families. Using your training in clinical and public medicine, you&rsquo;ll be able to offer guidance in a range of health matters, including health promotion, assessments, and health services for smaller communities where needed. You will also contribute to vital public health research on behalf of the ADF.

Use your clinical and public medicine expertise to provide advice on disease and illness prevention, promoting the health needs of Army people and their families.
