Use your degree and become a leader in your field
If you already have a degree, you can advance your current profession and apply your tertiary qualifications part time as a Graduate Reserve.
Who it&rsquo;s for:&nbsp;Those who already have a recognised degree.

You'll be paid to train and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Initial Employment Training, you’ll earn a tax-free daily rate of at least:

The pay you receive in the Navy Reserve goes straight into your pocket with no deductions for tax.

Officer Entry: Graduate Reserve

Part-time Dental Officers will complete this course and work towards Dental Level 1 (DL1) to Dental Level 2 (DL2) progression under a DL3 mentor.

As a part-time Navy Dentist, you’ll provide the full range of dental treatments, from general to specialist services, to help keep members fit and healthy.

You’ll manage a dynamic and team-oriented dental practice and enjoy the variety and rewards of using your skills in different locations, ranging from large multi-dentist clinics to facilities onboard ships. 

Following your Initial Reserve Military Training, you’ll serve a minimum of 20 days per year in a Funded Reserve Commitment (FRC) position and may be offered work up to 200 days a year in approved positions. You may also volunteer for a period of full-time service in vacant permanent Navy positions, in line with service requirements, that suit your skills.

Practice high quality dentistry in this part-time Reserve role, working in well-equipped facilities and enjoying opportunities for on-going military training.
