If you're a driven and ambitious individual, the ADF will teach you to lead teams, mentor others and manage complex scenarios as an officer. As long as you&rsquo;re a school leaver who has passed Year 12, you can join, learn to lead and mentor others.
Who it&rsquo;s for:&nbsp;Year 12 graduates or qualified professionals.

You'll be paid to train and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Initial Employment Training, you’ll earn a tax-free daily rate of at least:

The pay you receive in the Navy Reserve goes straight into your pocket with no deductions for tax.

Officer Entry: Reserve

As you progress in your Naval Mastery journey in Maritime Trade Operations Team 1, you’ll have the opportunity to undertake ADF and Navy professional development courses in planning, logistics and warfare. The pinnacle training course for Maritime Trade Operations Officer (MTO) is the Maritime Advance Program (MAP) which is MTO’s Advanced Mastery Qualification.

As a Shipping Industry Liaison Officer, you’ll liaise between the Navy/ADF and the Commercial Maritime and Shipping Industry to facilitate the protection of maritime trade and ensure mutual understanding between parties.

In this exciting part-time role, you'll have the ability to leverage your experience in the maritime industry. It will be your responsibility to ensure the protection of maritime trade and keep the lines of communication open.

Draw upon your wealth of maritime industry experience, liaising between the Navy, the ADF and the Australian and International Commercial Maritime and Shipping Industry.
