Become an officer with your existing degree
If you have a recognised degree in a field such as Medicine, Law, Dentistry, Nursing, Engineering, Business or IT, you can apply for an officer role through Graduate Entry. Whether you're a recent graduate or in a career, you&rsquo;ll receive further training and postgraduate study opportunities in the ADF.
Who it&rsquo;s for:&nbsp;Those who already have a recognised degree and want to receive further training and postgraduate study opportunities. You&rsquo;ll pursue your profession as an officer and add an exciting new dimension to your work.

You'll be paid while you train, and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Employment Training, you’ll earn at least:

Your salary once trained

In the Air Force you'll be paid a good salary from day one regardless of your age, experience or qualifications.

Officer Entry: Graduate

You&rsquo;ll receive on-the-job training, peer supervision and professional development throughout your time as a psychologist.
The Air Force can provide an in-house registrar pathway for endorsement as an Organisational Psychologist as part of your continued career progression.

Become an officer while you continue your studies
Whether you're a recent graduate or have started your career, you&rsquo;ll receive further training and postgraduate study opportunities in the ADF. 
Who it&rsquo;s for:&nbsp;Those already studying a relevant postgraduate degree (or in some cases, those who have accepted a postgraduate offer) at an Australian university. You&rsquo;ll earn a salary while you study and have the remainder of your university fees paid in return for a commitment to an officer role.

This entry method is currently not recruiting.

You'll be paid while you study. On completion of your degree, Initial Military Training and Initial Employment Training, you'll earn at least:

As a Psychologist, you&rsquo;ll find a fulfilling new outlet for your psychology expertise, tackling unique but rewarding professional challenges in support of a variety of Air Force needs.
You'll contribute to capability in the areas of personnel selection, training, performance enhancement, leadership development, organisational culture, Air Force health services, psychology policies and research.

You&rsquo;ll provide behavioural science, organisational and industrial psychology, and mental health advice and services in order to further develop Air Force capability and enhance organisational effectiveness. You'll apply contemporary behavioural science skills and knowledge to Air Force systems, processes and programs.
Depending on your area of expertise, you'll perform important tasks that range from organisational psychology and recruitment assessments to work that is specific to aviation or clinical psychology. You may also get involved in personnel training across a variety of disciplines, post operation screening and clinical support.
