Join without qualifications
There are many excellent career options in the ADF that generally don&rsquo;t require experience or qualifications. You&rsquo;ll receive all the training you need and be paid while you train.

You'll be paid while you train, and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Employment Training, you’ll earn at least:

In the Air Force you'll be paid a good salary from day one regardless of your age, experience or qualifications.

General Entry: Non-technical

You’ll be given clear routes for career advancement and promotion, along with opportunities for further training, such as:
<ul>
<li>Dangerous Goods Packaging and Acceptance Training</li>
<li>Aircrew Instructional Technique and Workplace Assessor Training.</li>
</ul>
On completion of an initial flying tour, dependant on organisational requirements, you have opportunities to be posted to another flying role or designated ground position to develop further skills and broaden your experience as Cabin Crew.

As a Cabin Crew member, you’ll combine customer service skills with resourcefulness, initiative and a high level of responsibility.
Along with ADF personnel, your passengers may include VIPs such as government ministers, Australian and foreign heads of state, royalty and guests of the Australian Government. Exemplary standards of grooming and demeanour are mandatory, as is discretion.

You’ll be employed on Air Force transport aircraft and are primarily responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers travelling on military aircraft. You’ll have a prominent representational role and work on a variety of international and domestic tasks including VIP, strategic and operational passenger transport.

Provide safety, comfort and in-flight service to passengers and crew on board a variety of specialised aircraft, as well as managing the cabin and general administration.
