Become an officer with your existing degree
If you have a recognised degree in a field such as Medicine, Law, Dentistry, Nursing, Engineering, Business or IT, you can apply for an officer role through Graduate Entry. Whether you're a recent graduate or in a career, you&rsquo;ll receive further training and postgraduate study opportunities in the ADF.
Who it&rsquo;s for:&nbsp;Those who already have a recognised degree and want to receive further training and postgraduate study opportunities. You&rsquo;ll pursue your profession as an officer and add an exciting new dimension to your work.

You'll be paid while you train, and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Employment Training, you’ll earn at least:

Trained

Your salary once trained

In the Army you'll be paid a good salary from day one regardless of your age, experience or qualifications.

Officer Entry: Graduate

You’ll have the opportunity to attend update/refresher courses whilst employed by the Army. You may also be sponsored for postgraduate courses (as part time or external students) if a service requirement exists.

As a Physiotherapist, you’ll work in an Army health unit or Joint Health Command garrison medical centres providing healthcare to members to enhance and maintain the ADF’s operational and support capabilities. You’ll deliver effective and appropriate assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic treatment of disease and injury in the promotion and maintenance of health and wellness, both on operations and in non-operational environments.

You’ll provide physiotherapy services in a range of environments to wounded or injured patients, and pre and postoperative care to aid rehabilitation. There may also be opportunities for you to deploy on operations and exercises.

Take on rewarding new challenges providing Army personnel with a variety of physiotherapy services, on base, on exercises and on deployments, within Australia and overseas.
