Become an officer with your existing degree
If you have a recognised degree in a field such as Medicine, Law, Dentistry, Nursing, Engineering, Business or IT, you can apply for an officer role through Graduate Entry. Whether you're a recent graduate or in a career, you&rsquo;ll receive further training and postgraduate study opportunities in the ADF.
Who it&rsquo;s for:&nbsp;Those who already have a recognised degree and want to receive further training and postgraduate study opportunities. You&rsquo;ll pursue your profession as an officer and add an exciting new dimension to your work.

You'll be paid while you train, and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Employment Training, you’ll earn at least:

Trained

Your salary once trained

In the Navy you'll be paid a good salary from day one regardless of your age, experience or qualifications.

Officer Entry: Graduate

As a Nursing Officer, you&rsquo;ll be encouraged to maintain and advance your clinical skills with the potential to complete postgraduate studies as part of your career development. Areas may include Intensive Care, Emergency Department, Perioperative and health management.

As an acute Medical/Surgical, Perioperative, Intensive Care or Emergency Nurse, you&rsquo;ll be a key part of a multi-disciplinary team ensuring the health of all Navy members.

You&rsquo;ll regularly work alongside Army and Air Force colleagues in land-based facilities, both in Australia and overseas. You&rsquo;ll provide expert care in potentially challenging circumstances, often with minimal support in a variety of well-equipped Defence facilities.

Broaden your nursing skills and contribute to a variety of health positions both at sea and ashore in this varied and rewarding Navy healthcare role.
