You will be paid to train and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Initial Employment Training, you’ll earn a tax-free daily rate of at least:

The Army Reserve provides opportunities to pick up new skills, meet new people and work in unique administrative environments. A part-time role in the Army Reserve is a fantastic complement to your current career, regardless of your industry.
As a part-time Human Resources Administrator (also known as Administration Assistant), you&rsquo;ll work in one of the most unique administrative teams in the country. In the Royal Australian Army Ordinance Corps (RAAOC), you&rsquo;ll play a pivotal role in the Army &ndash; acting as the first point of contact for a number of units.
The skills you&rsquo;ll gain will be utilised in barracks, training exercises and in the field. Your environment is the only thing that will change, as your role and importance to the Army will always remain consistent.
Some of the tasks you&rsquo;ll be responsible for in this role:
<ul>
 <li>Provide administrative advice with regards to conditions of service, policy, legislation and regulations to provide clerical and administrative advice</li>
 <li>Understand professional pay and allowance concepts related to the military environment</li>
 <li>Use a number of diverse in-service Information Systems to support peers and commanders</li>
 <li>Maintain records, files and registers</li>
 <li>Prepare administrative and operational documents for signature and release </li>
 <li>Provide accurate advice on pay, personal allowances and unit/personal claims </li>
 <li>Maintain maps, logbooks, messages and information in an operational environment </li>
 <li>Operate the Battlefield Management System</li>
 <li>General soldiering duties, such as patrolling and navigation</li>
</ul>
On Reserve parade nights, you can expect to refine your administrative skills, plan ahead for exercises and maintain your soldier training.
In larger training exercises you'll engage in wider military skills such as manning defensive positions, traffic control and camouflaging of vehicles and field equipment.
