The Australian Army employs part-time qualified and registered Pharmacists providing a wide variety of employment opportunities that involve leadership, management, and professional skills. These officers are members of the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps (RAAMC).
As a member of a multi-disciplinary clinical team within a field hospital Pharmacist roles include dispensary duties; supervision of pharmaceutical accounts; ordering and stock policy management of pharmaceuticals; as well as management of medical equipment and related consumables as a medical logistician. But there is much more to being an Officer in the Army Reserve; you will also have management and leadership responsibilities to fulfill. The Army Reserve will provide you with the required training to be able to fulfil these roles.
