If you want to work with unique military equipment while experiencing adventure, the Army Reserve has an exciting opportunity for you.
As a part-time Recovery Mechanic you will serve in the Corps of the Royal Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (RAEME). You will experience the unique adventures and challenges that come with providing recovery support to Army’s vehicles and equipment, whenever they are bogged, broken down, damaged or disabled.
You need to be quick-thinking, confident and enjoy being hands-on. No experience is required and you’ll become an expert in recovering vehicles and equipment in a range of situations and environments. This will place you in high-demand as you support the overall effort on the battlefield.
You will receive world-class training so you are able to recover all types of Army equipment, utilising state of the art medium and heavy recovery vehicles. You also have an opportunity to qualify on the specialised tracked and wheeled armoured recovery vehicles. 
On Reserve parade nights, you can expect to refine your recovery skills, plan ahead for exercises and keep up your soldier training.
This is a great opportunity to develop leadership skills to take back to your current full-time career. As well as working within a close-knit team, you’ll be able to earn tax-free pay all without having to compromise your lifestyle in this flexible part-time role.
Just give as little as one night a week, one weekend a month or a few weeks a year – and you’ll get a world of new experiences back.
