Join without qualifications
There are many excellent career options in the ADF that generally don&rsquo;t require experience or qualifications. You&rsquo;ll receive all the training you need and be paid while you train.
Who it&rsquo;s for:&nbsp;Those seeking general roles and career opportunities.

You'll be paid while you train, and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Employment Training, you’ll earn at least:

In the Navy you'll be paid a good salary from day one regardless of your age, experience or qualifications.

General Entry: Non-technical

You may be selected to undertake advanced medical training which can include management courses and category specialisation courses for promotion, including: 
<ul>
<li>Underwater Medicine Clinicians Course </li>
<li>Clinical Manager Course </li>
<li>Extended Care Medic Course </li>
<li>Submariner Medic – further training required. </li>
</ul>

As a Medic, you’ll provide essential healthcare services to the sick and wounded, onboard ships or ashore. You’ll be responsible for supporting and maintaining the health and wellbeing of Navy members.

You'll apply your knowledge to both conventional and unconventional injuries and illnesses in a variety of situations and environments. Your typical day could include providing advanced first aid, nursing care, in-patient healthcare, assisting with evacuation of casualties or managing medical supplies.

Provide advanced first aid, pre-hospital emergency care, medical evacuation services and nursing care for the sick and wounded – at sea and ashore.
