Join without qualifications
There are many excellent career options in the ADF that generally don&rsquo;t require experience or qualifications. You&rsquo;ll receive all the training you need and be paid while you train.

You'll be paid while you train, and on completion of your Initial Military Training and Employment Training, you’ll earn at least:

In the Army you'll be paid a good salary from day one regardless of your age, experience or qualifications.

As a Technician Assistant (Aviation Support), you&rsquo;ll get a 'try before you buy' experience that will give you a good insight into Army training and the life of a soldier without any obligation to serve beyond one year. You&rsquo;ll gain exposure to a range of other aviation roles and have the option to continue a career in Army aviation by transferring to other trade roles.

Whether you&rsquo;re working in an aviation workshop at an air base or out in the field on deployments, exercises and humanitarian operations, you&rsquo;ll join a highly trained team. You&rsquo;ll provide valuable support to Aeroskills technicians, assisting with the servicing, repair and modification of Army Helicopters and equipment. In this role, you&rsquo;ll have opportunities to grow your knowledge of Aviation maintenance processes and procedures whilst gaining experience by working on various types of Army Aviation equipment.

Get a taste of life in the Army with a one-year commitment that will see you provide valuable support to the technicians that maintain and service Army helicopters.
